"GG HulyaiHorod" is a combination of traditional polyphonic singing style and instrumental folk tunes with modern electronic music, including the DJ-versions. "GG" embodies the collective image of the great Ukrainian ancestors (Great Grandmothers and Grandfathers). They saved for us the traditional musical culture in its original form. All songs in "GG HulyaiHorod" were inspired by a life-giving force of folklore. They are aimed to awaken a keen interest to natural Ukrainian culture through combination of ethnic melodies and modern musical style trends.
The show “GG HulyaiHorod” will present the song repertoire mixing lyricism, humor, protest movement, social issues and uplifting dances. Besides singing you will hear the live sound of traditional acoustic dulcimer (cymbals), zurna, flute, violin, tambourine and bass combined with modern electronic samples to create special sound coloring and unique atmosphere of the concert.
